Koji Yoshida was a direct student of Shoji Nishio Sensei for over 34 years and holds the rank of 7th dan in Aikido Aikikai, 6th dan Renshi in Musoshinden-ryu Iaido and 7th dan in Aiki Toho Iaido.

In 2000, on his final visit to the U.S., Shoji Nishio Sensei appointed Yoshida Sensei as his official representative to the U.S.A., France and Ukraine.  Yoshida Sensei is the Founder of Nishikaze Aikido Kai which he established as the official Nishio organization in the United States.

Yoshida Sensei continues to develop the technical repertoire of Nishio’s original work in aikido, iaido and jodo.  He travels to teach regularly in the  U.S.A., France and Ukraine as well as in Japan. He is also an accomplished shodo (calligraphy) teacher.
